Lehrer Song on Subtraction - Apparently the Brownell Method was considered New Math in 1965; now it's standard and people cling to it and call Common Core ridiculous!
Japanese Line Multiplication - I'm intrigued by the title. When people find something on their own that seems to them to be a "trick," they are excited and say it is easier, but when something is proposed through the school system (i.e. Common Core) they say it is confusing, hard and evil.
